So I have been seriously slacking in my blog posting and I apologize! We've been somewhat busy and side-tracked with the move and other activities (but mostly the move!)
 |
This is how we have all felt a few times during our recent move ;-)
|
So here is a picture of our new house which we love and we really love the extra space (and extra toilet in the mornings before school!) But it is going to take us quite a while to get unpacked, settled and make this one feel like home. I guess that's what happens when you leave your home where your two kiddos were born after almost 15 years - bittersweet for sure!
Here is our new screened in pool which is very nice and the kids and their friends have enjoyed it several times already!
So, besides the big move, we've also had a few home FSU football games, Harris started (and already finished) his school cross country season, Wrenn competed in her third triathlon with her sweet friends, Doug has had several work trips that have caused him to be gone some, school projects, reports, etc. are in full swing, and other activities (gymnastics, Girl scouts, basketball (H just finished a 4 week "fall league")

We don't get many pics with all 4 of us and Wrennie makes this silly face?!

So this is obviously a quick catch-up and I haven't even taken many pics lately but I will try to update more regularly once we get settled a little more. The latest thing I wish I had captured with photos but sadly I didn't was that Harris had "spirit week" at school this week and every day was a theme. So, Monday they had Super Hero day and Harris was Batman (mask and cape only), Tuesday was Blue and Green Day (they had their fall pep rally so he wore his cross country jersey), Wednesday was Team Spirit day so H was all Seminole, Thursday was Luau day so he wore a tacky Hawaiian shirt and Friday was Homeroom wars (this is where all of the homerooms picked a theme to dress as- it was supposed to be secret). Harris' homeroom was doing "Buck Dynasty" (their school mascot is the Bucks) so they all wore camo, the teacher had sunglasses with deer antlers on them, etc. -there is a "contest" for the most original, spirited home room which should make it a very lively fun day at middle school! Hope some of you grandparents, aunts, etc. feel a little caught up on the kiddos' lives now- wish we could all see each more often so this wasn't your only connection in between visits! We miss you all- and oh yeah, come see our new home and help us make it feel more like a real home with some family member visitors really soon!
What? Our daily phone chats do not count as a connection? :) loooooove the new house, sis! So glad you finally caught up on the blog....have been missing it. Oh and I think we will be happy to oblige your final request....see you in two weeks! Xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI, for one, have missed your blog. Glad you're back on line.
ReplyDeleteThe new house looks great - hopefully, we can schedule a visit soon.
Lots of catching up in that blog - everybody is staying busy as usual.
Tell Wrenn how proud we are of her triathlon endeavors.
Love the "Buck Dynasty" theme - Happy, happy, happy!
