| Harris and the mohawk bike helmet |
Friday night while we were waiting for Wrenn to return from her last day at KLES summer camp (they went to Universal Studios for their last field trip so weren't home until 10 pm!) we went to dinner then goofed off at Walmart to kill time until she got home. Harris and I entertained ourselves trying on silly bike helmets.
Wrenn had a great time with her camp friends at Universal on Friday and we were very happy to get her home late that night- it was a long day for her and she was exhausted!
Saturday, we slept in and relaxed before all tackling a chore to clean the house. Then we rewarded ourselves with a trip to the Mardi Gras Snowball place by Lake Ella- yummy!
Wrenn was obviously still wiped out from her long day on Friday and just couldn't keep her eyes open on Saturday afternoon in the car- thank goodness she could still hold onto her Nintendo DS though!
Saturday evening we went for a family bike ride- only Harris got the memo that we were supposed to look like we were in some sort of mean bike gang or something!?
Sunday, we finally got to go to the Tallahassee Junior Museum to try out their new zipline/ obstacle courses (it has been raining here for a full week!) Sunday we finally got some sun and decided to take advantage of the nice day.
Wrenn wasn't tall enough to do the full course but there was a really fun course for kids too. She did that while Doug cheered her on and took these pics then they walked around and checked out the animals while Harris and I did the big course.
Here a few of the pics- they don't really do it justice. It was so much fun- we were up really high in the trees with a great view of the museum and some of the zips went pretty fast. Definitely looking forward to going back in the fall when it's a little cooler!
Lastly, these were some delicious homemade pizzas the kiddos made- Harris' is the one with black olives and Wrenn's is the striped pizza! They had fun and enjoyed a good dinner!
This week (final week before school begins), Wrenn is at gymnastics camp and Harris is experimenting with some time at home alone- we're starting with a few half-days where we go get him around lunch to hang with us at work for the afternoons. ALso, we have both orientations later in the week and a "back to school bash" at Wrenn's school too! Summer has flown by!
and just a few more pics from camp in Ocala- the mud hike/swim, making fire and the shooting range.

Wow! That zip line looks like fun. I gotta try that the next time in Tallahassee.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe that Harris is old enough to stay home alone. Hope that works out. Next thing you know he'll be driving!
I wanna do the zip lines and obstacle course too....how fun! And sis, I love how much fun you can make a week at home!
