Friday, we got to see our 5th grade graduate get his elementary school diploma. After six years at Killearn Elementary School, Harris is graduating and moving on to middle school. The ceremony was very nice and the kids and parents all enjoyed it. They did a fun slide show of all of the 5th graders with their baby pictures followed by their 5th grade class pictures then a bunch of pictures of the kids together through the years (field trips, sports, playground, etc.) Then the kids got to have a big party for the rest of the day (no parents!)- pizza, treats, games, music, prizes, photo booth, etc.- Harris said "Best day ever!"
We were also very happy to have Emby and Taylor come see us for the graduation and long holiday weekend. As usual, the kids all played together and had so much fun. Taylor graduated from pre-k last week too, so we had a yummy cookie cake to celebrate both of the graduates!

Friday night, Harris had his last baseball game and then his baseball team party- the boys got pizza, cake, trophies and a fun evening of swimming together. Great season and an awesome bunch of boys and coaches!

Saturday, we went out on the boat and had so much fun. Thanks to Doug for keeping us all rigged up - everyone caught fish and lots of different kinds too (shark, shark suckers, trout, spanish mackerel, lizard fish, blue fish, etc.) After fishing and to beat the heat, we anchored at the sandbar for lunch and swimming. Kids found sand dollars, sea urchins, sea sponges, crabs, etc. then on the way back in, we saw several dolphin that were swimming right by us. A great day on the water!
Sunday, we went swimming at the Schneider's house- beautiful day and so nice to have a pool to play in because it was hot! Monday, we mostly stayed home and relaxed (thought we would get lots of rain from tropical storm Beryl but didn't really) and remembered those that have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom!
Overall, a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and visit with our Orlando fam. Thank you Emby and Taylor for coming and congratulations to Harris for successfully completing elementary school- tomorrow is the last day I will take him to that awesome school and it's definitely a little bittersweet for me.
I cannot believe that Harris is going to middle school. He's grown up way too fast!
